Frequently Asked Questions Checklist for Airbnb guests
If you own an Airbnb holiday rental property there will be a lot of questions that nearly every guest will ask either before they arrive at your property or when they get there. So to avoid all of those you can create a frequently asked questions list that has detailed answers to help guests with their planning and while on holiday.
These can be used to create templates within the booking websites or simply kept handy so that you can cut and paste responses rather than writing out individual responses eerie time a guest asks a commonly asked question.
It’s also a good idea to include these FAQs with your response to enquiries, here are some of them
- What is the bedding configuration?
- What is your maximum occupancy?
- Are you pet friendly?
- How close is the <popular attraction>?
- Are there any restaurants or cafes nearby?
- Are there shops nearby? (particularly food/drink)
- Do you have Wi-Fi?
- How do I access the property?
- Is there parking at the property?
- What payment methods do you accept?
- Do you have a portacot or high chair available?
Creating a document with FAQs and answers and saving on a cloud drive (e.g. Google Drive/Dropbox) means that you can quickly and easily copy text into your response. You could also include this document to your guests in an email when they get their booking confirmation.
What are the benefits of giving guests an FAQ checklist?
The benefit to having prepared FAQs is that the quicker you can answer guest questions the less likely that the guest will browse online for another property to stay in. The easier it is for the guest to get the information they need, the greater the chance of the guest booking with you. By providing this level of professionalism it also sets the tone for what the experience will be when the guest stays at the property.
Should you provide guests information about things to do?
Another type of FAQ that is really helpful for guests is a guide or information pack that helps them discover some of the best things to do or places to visit during their stay. If they are not familiar with the area they are going to trust you as the owner to give them great advice.
While its possible for them to use Trip Advisor or Google to locate different things, giving them all information in an easy to read format just makes for a great holiday experience that they will remember.
You might even be able to partner with local businesses to create a welcome pack or give your guests some special offers for their stay.
